Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She went to Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received all As for her A level examinations. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at being unable to attend a college. At the time of her schooling, Coleman was a member of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Along with receiving a prize for her acting, the play she performed was well received. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale part of Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with Drama schools. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two prizes. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards: for the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer and also the National Television Awards as the most Popular. In 2009, she received nominations for two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors have left the series. Moffat has decided to choose her for the role because she has the strongest chemistry with Smith. She also spoke more quickly than he does. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the field since 1987, and was a part of various TV shows and films. But, she's more known for TV projects as opposed to films. Eva's TV roles on Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami stand out. She was nominated for two "Daytime Emmys" in the first role as well as having the an opportunity to explore the musical side of her. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and an philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
