Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, singer and performer best known for playing Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began in stage shows during the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then, she appeared on Broadway in a variety of shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner became big in the National Theatre. In the same year, she made her debut album, It's the Time for Tina. Louise started her Hollywood career in the year 1958 as she played Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a film that was dramatic. The film was a massive success and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's student. The year 1964 saw her signing to CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise worked successfully in both Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters that reflected her reputation as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In the last few years she's also been an acclaimed director of well-known television series such as Supernatural and The 100. She was born on August 28, 1965, in Essex. As a young girl, 3, her family moved her to Toronto which is where she spent the majority of her childhood. In 1997 after being selected for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in Vancouver ever since.
