Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has received numerous awards for her work. She has been a vocal advocate for the rights of animals. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. When she was in New York, she was born and brought up in an artistic family. She began working as a photographer's assistant, and after that she moved on to modeling and acting. Her first two movies she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most promising young actress. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was one of the biggest hits that gained fame to the world, as well as an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. After only three movies she was deemed one of the most successful women at the box office in history. Her footprints from 1972 along with her signature were engraved on the wall of Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, and other films. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw has been married three times.
